FOR WISCONSIN STATE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE

Meet Goodwill

A husband, father, community advocate, proudly Democrat. (SOLUTION IS HERE)

My name is Goodwill Obieze, and I am running to be your servant as a State Representative for District 48. I am a second-generation American who migrated 13 years ago to America from a small village in Nigeria West Africa. I am the oldest of three who grew up with a single mother working a minimum wage job to make sure we had a great life growing up. While in Nigeria as a teenager, I was not privileged to have access to electricity or good drinking water or any healthcare.

I graduated from Madison East High School where I was heavily involved in school activities (Band, Choir, GearUp, etc.) and went on to acquire a Liberal Arts degree from Madison College (MATC). While at MATC, I was elected to be a Student Senator through the Student Government. We worked with MATC administrators, faculties, and students to build the new Truex campus also known as the GateWay. We also were able to reduce textbook costs and make textbook rentals accessible to all students.

I continued to further my education by graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in HR from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I was also an elected Senator and later an elected Vice President of the Student government. A few years later, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Parkside with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Finally, in the Spring of 2021, I ran for Dane County Board of Supervisor in District 12. Over the years, I have acquired many skills/experience in Mental Health, Hospital systems, restaurants, Caregivers, retail, state and local governments, and much more.
